OUTPATIENT PHYSICAL THERAPY – PRIVATE PRACTICE

AGM Physical Therapy operates as a private practice outpatient clinic.
While AGM has several service-based contract relationships with other entities, it operates completely as its own business entity.
What does this mean for you, the patient? This means that you will experience a more intimate treatment setting, and be treated by a family-oriented staff that has the flexibility to make treatment decisions that are always in your best interest as the patient. AGM can provide a full complement of services to assist patients in recovering from injury – Specifically Designed Exercise Programs, Manual Therapy such as Soft Tissue Massage, Pelvic Health, Aquatic Therapy, Dry Needling,
Modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mechanic traction, infrared light therapy), as well as Movement-Based Principles to release pain. AGM also offers after-rehab programs so that patients can continue to make gains independently. AGM is a participating provider in the majority of insurance networks.

AGM Physical Therapy has access to the heated indoor pool at the Mentor Heisley Racquet & Fitness Club. The pool has dual shallow ends, bookending a six-foot deep section. The pool itself is handicapped-equipped, with a ramp and railings, as well as a waterproof wheelchair that can assist those who are wheelchair-bound or non-weight bearing into the water.

Pelvic Health Physical Therapy

Women’s Health Therapy

Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (formally known as Women’s Health P.T.) is a sub-specialty of physical therapy which deals with treating patients with various diagnoses. These diagnoses include but are not limited to:

  • Pregnancy/Postpartum
  • Urinary or Fecal incontinence
  • Musculoskeletal pain
  • Post gynecological surgery or Prostatectomy.

Dry Needle Therapy

Dry needling is a therapeutic intervention in which thin filiform needles are used to penetrate the skin and stimulate myofascial trigger points, muscles and connective tissue. It helps manage neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments, as well as decrease muscle tension and restrictions in scar, fascia and connective tissues. Dry needling can be helpful for treating tendonitis, tension headaches, neck pain, back, muscle strains and many other musculoskeletal conditions.

HOME HEALTH PHYSICAL THERAPY

When a patient is discharged from the hospital setting to their home, and has become unable to leave home safely, or when it requires a taxing effort to do so, most insurances cover some form of physical therapy to be performed in the home. AGM Physical Therapy makes great effort to provide a seamless continuum of service to its patients. As a subcontractor for Home Health Physical Therapy services, the therapists at AGM can begin treating you in your home, and continue the treatment plan all the way through, until you have met goals as an outpatient. AGM is accustomed to taking care of all of the referral and paperwork requirements for you along the way.
